Sound appealing? Join our team! The function of the Sprinkler System Construction Technician Level 1 is to aid in the installation, repair, maintenance, and renovation of all types of fire protection systems under the guidance of the Sprinkler System Construction Technician II and III.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide assistance with the installation, repairing, maintaining and renovating of all types of fire protection systems Loads and handles materials and equipment Assist with maintaining equipment, tools and vehicles by assisting in inspections, and cleaning as directed by team leader Provide assistance with coordinating monitoring companies, fire departments and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarms Assist with report preparation Provide assistance with requisitioning materials and equipment Provide assistance in the installation of systems per manufacturer's maintenance manual, local and state codes, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection Association All other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
HS Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Acceptable background check and drug screening REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic arithmetic Ability to read a tape measurer Capable of learning to operate scissor lift, various equipment and machinery (i.
e.
cutting, threading, grooving, setting dies, hand tools, power tools, operating lifts and other equipment used in construction type situations) Ability to multi-task i.
e.
