Monday - Friday, 8 am - 3 pm Full Time Position Available The Arc of the Emerald Coast continuously provides services to intellectually and developmentally disabled children and adults in Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton Counties for over 30 years.
These services enable individuals to live, work, and play in their community.

Responsibilities:
Work in collaborative efforts with program participants, their families, and other support staff.
Participate in annual ISP and/or other support meeting to help establish goals.
Identify clients' strengths, weaknesses, barriers, and capabilities.
Advocate on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities; learn and promote Normalization and Consumer Rights; protect participants' rights and freedoms; maintain confidentiality of their personal info; insure individual's right to privacy.
Provide training, support, assistance, supervision, and monitoring of daily activities related to the individual's outcomes, in the community and at the ADT center.
Encourage individual's participation in various activities that will improve abilities and will lead to outcomes specified on ISP.
Assists in personal care and daily living activities such as toileting, grooming, meal preparation, and general health and safety issues.
Counsel client in a professional manner as required.
Assess, react appropriately to and effectively deal with behavioral problems using specified verbal and/or physical behavior techniques.
Accurately perform routine record keeping and adhere to documentation requirements set forth by Developmental Disabilities and the ADT Manager.
Perform other functions, as directed, relevant to the position.
Requirements:
Must possess a High School Diploma Minimum of one (1) year experience in working with in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting or working with persons who have a developmental disability.
Must pass a Level II Background Screening.
Must pass a drug test.
We are a drug free workplace; this includes medical marijuana.
Must have a valid Florida Driver's License Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds, and as part of a team, manipulate or restrain over 100 pounds and/or provide personal care ASL, teaching, and computer skills preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
