Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Position
Summary:
Applies advanced engineering principles to perform highly complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.
Plans, conducts, and/or technically directs projects or major phases of projects.
Reviews the project progress and evaluates results.
Analyzes highly complex technical problems and recommends corrective actions.
This is a working manager position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Manufacturing engineering team Applies advanced engineering principles to perform highly complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations Plans, conducts, and/or technically directs projects or major phases of projects Reviews the project progress and evaluates results.
Analyzes highly complex technical problems and recommends corrective actions Responsibilities are highly complex in scope where the analysis of situations or data involves intangibles; work may impact the design/success of products/services Responsible for supervising a team of engineers on an activity and completion of activity on time and budget Ensure staffing levels and skills meet department objectives Ability to supervise a technical group independently Provide leadership for direct reports in the execution of their day to day activities Manage budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements Participate in preparation of proposals Supervise and direct the work of others as assigned Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings This role is cross-functional and will require developing and maintaining relationships and communications with key functional groups including contracts, project management office, finance, engineering, operations, supply chain, and logistics.
Responsible for identifying and requisitioning capital requirements Recruit, develop and train staff members, ensuring team skills are maintaining pace with performance expectations Implements process improvement initiatives and document in procedures Keep abreast of new engineering, material and product trends Be familiar with industry and government standards and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
Secondary Accountabilities:
Responsible for factory layout for lean manufacturing Provide Lean training to operations and quality team Host Lean Six Sigma Kaizen events Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline 3+ years engineering management experience Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Demonstrated management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution Excellent teamwork skills 3+ years engineering management experience Manufacturing background with 5+ years of experience in process improvements Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Six Sigma Black Belt Design for Six Sigma working knowledge US Citizenship is required Why Kelly ?Kelly puts you in charge of your career, with access to cutting edge projects and technologies in industry leading organizations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
